In order to be a successful online marketer it is imperative for your sites to obtain top rankings for organic search results in Google. For those of you who dont know what organic search results are, basically they are the websites that come up on the left hand side when you perform a search on google, and they are completely free.

Google usually saves the top positions in its organic results for websites with high quality content that is relevant to whatever keywords you are searching for. Google has what are called spiders that travel cyberspace indexing websites. All the information they collect goes into an algorithym that assists google rank these sites.

Utilizing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) techniques can give you a leg up on the competition. There are 2 separate forms of SEO tactics. There is onsite SEO, SEO done to the site itself, and offsite SEO, building backlinks and rss feeds for your site. In this article I will give you a few tips for onsite SEO.

When you are creating a blog or website you should always make sure that the title for your blog or header of your website contains the keywords you want to rank for. For instance, I optimized my blog, www.RonMedlin.com for Attraction Marketing Coach, as you can see those keywords are in the title of this blog.

Secondly, your text throughout your pages should be keyword rich, meaning you should be sure to include your keyword and spread it throughout the content. Dont overdo to the point that it doesnt make sense. Be sure it is strategically placed and the content flows

Finally, every time you create a new post to your blog, do keyword research and locate a keyword for your topic that has plenty of searches but little competition and put that keyword as close to the first of the title of your post as you can. Again, make the text of your post keyword rich as well. Also, when creating the meta tags for your post make sure you incorporate several of these high search, low competition keywords. When you do this you might even rank for keywords you wer'ent even optimizing for.
